Dr. George Schmieder
Dr. George Schmieder has been involved in clinical research throughout his medical career. This involvement has enabled him to remain on the cutting edge of the advances in dermatological care. Dr. George Schmieder is a recognized leader in the advancement of research and development of safe and improved skin care for all skin types. We at Park Avenue Dermatology are proud to offer many clinical trials in conjunction with the world renowned experts to provide excellence in skin cancer and general dermatological care.
Heather Ford, RN
Our Clinical Research Director, Heather K. Ford is a licensed registered nurse with the State of Florida. Heather graduated with honors from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She has held numerous nursing positions in different settings that include hospital, home health, ambulatory care, and research.
Since 2003, Heather has specialized in clinical research nursing, where she has developed a special interest and expertise in the area of research and clinical trials. In collaboration with Dr.Schmieder, she is responsible for screening prospective patients, supervising all protocol requirements, and is the liaison between Dr. Schmieder and the pharmaceutical companies. Her knowledge and skills have been instrumental in developing the research division at Park Avenue Dermatology, P.A.
Yvonne Douglas
Yvonne Douglas has over fifteen years of experience as a medical assistant, with over ten years dedicated to the field of clinical research. Ms. Douglas is a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) by the Society of Clinical Research Associates
Tabatha Weidman
Tabatha Weidman is a certified medical assistant with special qualification in research and the treatment of psoriasis. Mrs. Weidman is preparing for the Society of Clinical Research Associates' (SOCRA) Clinical Research Professional exam.
